A landfill[a] is usually a web page with the disposal of waste elements. It's the oldest and most popular type of waste disposal, although the systematic burial of waste with day by day, intermediate and final covers only started in the nineteen forties. Before, waste was just left in piles or thrown into pits (recognised in archeology as middens).
